Once butter is melted, whisk in the flour to form a paste and cook for about 2 minutes until it smells nutty and starts to turn brown.To a same saucepan, add the 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat.Remove the mushrooms and sage from pan and set aside.Stir in the sage and cook for 1 minute.Add the mushrooms and cook until browned, about 8 minutes.To a large saucepan over medium heat melt 1 tablespoon butter and vegetable oil.Bring a large pan of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions.Add the panko, Parmesan and chopped sage to a bowl and mix, set aside.Plus, all these pastas have crevices and holes for the cheese sauce to hide in so there’s extra cheese in every bite. A sturdy pasta like elbows, shells or cavatappi are perfect for this. I know because I’ve made the mistake before of using a flat bowtie pasta and it just gets weighed down by the heavy cheese sauce. The pasta: You may not think the shape matters, but it does. That’s where the secret to the creaminess lies! If you’re eating mac and cheese you need to just go for it full fat and all. Eleven winning artists were announced during a packed reception in the MAC Gallery on June 11, 2022. In 2022, FOUP returned as an in-person event ! The community rallied to support over 120 artists who took the challenge to create a complete work of art in just 24 hours. The winning artists also received cash prizes, and the first-place artist wins a week-long trip for two to Cortona, Italy to stay in the beautiful Villa Sant’ Andrea. The event begins with a 24-hour juried art-making competition where the selected winners are given the opportunity to choose two images of their work for reproduction on the eight downtown recycling bins. FOUP also creates a different exhibition and marketing opportunity for visual artists.
